For the first time in the Phillies’ history, all 14 Spring Training games airing on Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network will be broadcast in high definition. Here is a list of the games that will help that Phillies fix before the regular season. Now, where can we find those away games?

Oswalt cannot pull a Pedro, or a Clemens better yet, and just sit out the first half, can he? Do you think that’s what teams are banking on w his back and all (to sign him for the second half, when other pitchers wear down a little).

Oswalt can do whatever he wants, the thought now is that he might just sit and wait for an injury sonewhere and have himself ready to pitch in three weeks…. When he’s healthy he is one of the best pitchers in the game so it looks like a desperate team will definitely take the chance on him… I’ve read would like to stay in the NL but also that he obviously wants to play for a contender

I think the real storyline for the Phillies heading into ST should be: Will our key guys be healthy enough for the season? Whether Pod, Pierre, or whoever makes the 25-man roster is a decision that will have minimal impact. But if Utley’s knee is not cooperating, or Polanco’s arm is dangling off, J-roll’s legs [...]

I read that too about the 160-innings limit …. don’t know if that’s a strict thing or not, but i’d imagine they’ll try to limit his early outings anyway … strict in-game pitch counts etc .. Jordan Zimmerman is going to be a key to their season … great stats except for “wins” last year [...]
