According to CBS’ Jon Heyman, Hunter Pence and the Phillies have made a deal for 2012. Pence will earn $10.4MM in his first full season as a Phillie. Not too bad, not too cheap either.
In 54 games with the Phillies last season, Pence hit for a .324 average, sent 11 out of the park, and drove in 35 teammates. That’s just in 54 games. Can you imagine what he can do in a full season? We’ll see how hungry he really gets.
I wonder how much food Hunter Pence can buy with $10 million. Let’s Go Eat!
